Player Profiles 2005/2006

Aidan Azam

Aidan is a very hard working member of the squad. He has played at centre half for most of the season and has put in some great performances.

Sandy Davison

Sandy became our first transfer signing from Coulby Newham midway in the season. Has proved to be a very versatile player who can and will play in a number of positions.

Michael Easton

Goalkeeper who has had a limited number of
appearances this season. Fantastic kicking for someone his age and will push for a first team place next season

Alex Hamblen

Alex is a managers dream, a quiet lad who just does what he’s asked without any fuss at all. Tricky left sided player with great passing ability and vision. Has set up more goals than any one else this season.

Robert Harrison

Our tall centre half who likes to play the ball instead of just hoofing it. Robert’s game has
improved greatly putting him in good stead for the next season. A great squad member.

Liam Hogg

Liam has had a great season. Has scored 17 league goals this year mainly from centre midfield. With his skill and ‘never say die’ attitude Liam could go a long way in the game.

Michael Hurndall

Has been our regular right back this season. What Michael lacks in speed he more than makes up for in his positional play. His tackling is second to none and he always plays with a smile on his face.

Jamie Killington

Jamie is a great member of the squad, never creates a fuss and just gets on with what is asked of him. Has played both defence and midfield this season. Tough tackler who will push hard for a regular starting place next season.

Adam Lane

Adam is a very fast, skilful forward, a defenders nightmare. He has great awareness for a lad of his age. A winner who doesn’t know the meaning of the word defeat and has the right attitude to go a long way. Top scorer with 27 goals this season.

Josh McDermott

Josh is our no nonsense centre forward who can really strike a ball. Not many defenders like to play against this type of player. Another who never stops. Has scored 25 goals this season, including the first ever goal for Acklam FC.

Robert Maynard

Robert has had to be patient this year to get in to the team, however following a man of the match award he has kept his place and had some great performances. A very good prospect for next season.

Joe Parkin

Joe is, in our opinion, the best goalkeeper in the league. Great shot stopper whose game has
improved as the season has gone on, some of the games being won on his performance. He has also played outfield when required and scored 2 goals.

Gavin Stubley

The best left back in the league, never gives up. Gavin has lead by example this season. Tough tackling, ball distribution and positional play are first class. Could go a long way in the game.

Joe Stubley

Joe is our midfield terrier who also has a ‘never say die’ attitude. His work rate is second to none and if he continues in this form he could develop into a very good midfielder for years to come.

Jordan Wales

Jordan is a right sided player with pace, skill and an eye for goal. Another player who gives
defenders nightmares. Jordan always plays with a smile on his face and has scored 16 goals this season.
