Player Profiles 2006/2007

Jack Cubbin

Jack first caught my eye when he played against us in the North Riding Cup. We signed him in
January and he proved to be a great addition to the squad. Scored from the half way line v Coulby ’B’ and will score many more next season.

Sandy Davison

Had to wait for his chance this year, but when he got it he made a great impact in the team. Tough tackling versatile player who can and will play anywhere when asked. Scored 2 goals this season.

Michael Easton

Has been unlucky not to get many starts this sea son, but is a very well liked and valuable reserve Goalkeeper. He could walk into any side in this division and has proved how good he is when coming on. Great kicker of the ball and shot stopper.

Alex Hamblen

What a season this lad has had, there is no better left winger in the whole of the TJFA. We always knew he had the skill to take players on & cross a ball, but this season has added a determination and work rate to his game and he’s also chipped in with 7 goals.

Robert Harrison

Rob is our big tall centre half who opponents fear. Likes to play football on the ground and not just hoof it anywhere. The most nervous player I have met but this is just because he wants to do his best for the team every time he plays. Some commanding performances this season.

Liam Hogg

The type of midfielder every team wants. Has great skill, a fantastic work rate & a great eye for goal. Liam has scored 11 goals this season and can go on to be a fantastic prospect if he continues like he has.

Michael Hurndall

Having played most of last year at right back Michael found it difficult to get an extended run in the team this season, but in the games he has played he has never let anyone down. What he lacks in pace he more than makes up for with his strong tackling.

Jamie Killington

Jamie is a great squad player who can play in defence or midfield. Made the right back spot his own until he was injured around Xmas time. Finding it hard to get back into the team. Will no doubt come back bigger & stronger next season.

Adam Lane

Adam is a defenders nightmare, with his close control, eye for goal but most of all his lightning pace. He has had a magnificent season & his will to win is second to none. Ended the season 2nd top scorer with 43 goals and could have a great future ahead of him.

Josh McDermott

Centre Forward who has no fear, Josh deceives people with his speed for someone his size. He has formed a formidable partnership with Adam up front. He just loves to score goals and has finished the Clubs & the Divisions top goalscorer this season. 46 in all competitions, Well done Josh.

Robert Maynard

Centre Half who is very quick and can read a game very well. His last ditch tackles have saved us on a number of occasions this season. Robert is a vital squad member and could play in a number of positions   next season.

Joe Parkin

The best Goalkeeper in the league. Joe has come on fantastic this year. Everyone looks at the goals scored to win things over a season, but without Joe’s bravery and fantastic saves we wouldn’t be League Champions this season. He has kept the most clean sheets in the league this year & I know we have a great prospect on our hands here. Well done Joe

Sean Speight

Sean signed from Coulby in January and has never let anyone down when he has played. A very useful addition to the squad who can play in defence or midfield. Great things are expected of Sean next season.

Gavin Stubley

Captain Fantastic who has once again led by
example. Tough tackling left back who loves to get forward. Every team needs a leader and we have one of the best. It was great to see him lead the team onto the stage at the Tall Trees and lift the Championship Trophy.

Joe Stubley

Joe has come on leaps & bounds this season. He has developed as the year has gone on. If it’s a battle he can battle, if it’s a passing game he has great awareness of what is going on around him, and now he has found an eye for goal he is the complete midfielder. Keep it up Joe you can go a long way in this game if you want to.

Jordan Wales

Fast tricky winger who won the Managers Player of the Year award last season. Has had another great year scoring 12 goals, the most important being the equaliser at Saltburn, without which we wouldn’t of gone on to win the league, Thanks Jordan
