            Match Report

Acklam FC v FC Kader

20th September 2009

League Cup R1

Today was a opportunity for us to see how some of the boys who joined us over the summer faired in a competitive game. We made changes to the midfield and striker positions for the game. The game started ok with FC Kader bring the game to Acklam and we dealt with it ok until a the midfield found themselves on the wrong side of the FC Kaders midfield leaving Tommy and Harry against 4 players, they managed to clear once but not the second 1 nil to FC Kader. We kicked off and after loosing the ball we found ourselves in the same predicament 2 nil. After the second kick off we settled down and managed to compete with FC Kaders midfield and managed to great a couple of good chances. The best possible fell th Tommy a free kick from just in side their half which stung the keepers hands.

The second half we made changes to the team, we added more pace to the team and it show a couple of frailties to Kaders game the were struggling to cope with speed to which the up’d there defence from 2 to 3 players, this managed to shut the game down, the defence didn’t have much to cope with and what they was coped with.

Full Time: Acklam FC 0 – 2 FC Kader.

Managers Comments: Apart from 2 minutes of lack of concentration we played very well. Once we settled down we played well. This was a cup game, a one off, lets not get disheartened by the result. Well done everyone.

MOM : Tommy Lane (given by FC Kader’s Manager)
