Acklam FC v Tollesby Ath

Tollesby arrived today with only 5 of their players due to illness, the TJFA rule 10 S says that a team has to play with at least 5 players. The game started with Acklam half a sleep and playing like we finished at Brompton, but not as bad. We didn’t pass the ball enough or attack the ball. This allowed Tollesby the chances to cause a few scares and attacked our goal a few times.

Half Time : Acklam FC 0 – 0 Tollesby Athletic

After being told their mistakes Acklam went on the attack and we were rewarded with a goal after 1 minute, a strike from Louis. We carried on the same and started passing the ball just like we did against Yarm Town, we passed the ball with a purpose and attacked with some great passing moves. Acklam managed to get another 2 goals from Lucas and Louis.

Managers Comments: Apart from the first half of not thinking, well done. Learning by our mistakes makes us better, the second half was a great performance. Tollesby had some good attacking players but we held them out very well.

MOM : Lucas Brown … back to his best destroying teams down the wing.
