Acklam Football Club

In the earlier fixture Acklam won this game 12-0. We tried to drive into the kids that this time the game would not be so easy and it’s important we all give 100% to get a good win. We started very lazy and lost the 50/50’s at the start of the game. We seemed to be very little in midfield again as we wasn’t holding possession. Few chances were created in the first half but we did go in 1-0 up at the break. The second half got under way and we slowly taking control of the game however, Yarm constantly looked a threat. Arron and Dillon were brought on in Sam and Jo’s place as we looked to at my physical presence. Arron was very lively and constantly chased down the ball and put his foot in and won the 50/50’s. Dillon was also stronger and looked a threat going forward. We grabbed a second goal (both being scored by lewis). Lewis was subbed with 5 minutes to go and Cory came on and had a few half chances. Credit to Yarm, There heads didn’t drop and were much improved since our first encounter; I believe we should have been better though and had opportunities to kill the game.

The second game was 8 a side for the first half and 9 for the second half. We won 2-0 and were more in control of this game, Luke again was strong in this game and is getting stronger every week, Dillon showed that he had the ability to take on the world and Arron and Jamie were solid at the back. Lucas stole a touch of Sam shot to score, And Cory also scored.
