Acklam FC v Yarm Town Jnrs

13^th September 2009 

The start of the 2009 / 2010 season started with a visit from Yarm Town Jnrs. The Game started very well with Acklam attacking Yarm and being rewarded with a goal. Yarm did apply some pressure on Acklam but Tommy and Harry both dealt with it. Once Acklam settled down they started to turn the screw by half time Acklam were 4 nil up, 2 from Louis and 1 apiece for Sam and Lucas.

The second half started were the first left off. Within 20 seconds we had scored again. To take nothing away from Yarm Town they had some good players but their heads started to drop, our players sensed this and capitalised on it finishing the game 12 nil.

Goals from : Louis 5, Sam 3, Lucas 3, Nathan T 1. 

Managers Comments: This was a great performance from ourselves. The work rate was very good and the passing was top draw. We are pleased to see Sam and Lucas already hitting the goal tally targets we set them.

Not to dampen the performance but this game was not hardest, we have to stick to what we can do; pass, move and score.

The second game was a good result 3 nil with all the lads putting a great strong performance. If we keep up this standard and ability we will go far in this league.
