Acklam FC v H'Pool St Francis
Sunday 14th March 2010
Acklam played at home for the first time this year against St Francis
The home team could of taken the lead in the first minute when Dave Pottinger shot straight at the keeper
Acklam had most of the chances but paid a high price again for not clearing their lines when St Francis took the lead
Acklam went on to hit the post twice, the bar once and had numerous chances just wide
St Francis capitalised on a rebound off the Acklam keeper to make it 2-0 in the second half
Acklam finally got a goal in injury time with a Michael Bond header but this was to little to late
Final Score: Acklam 1-2 St Francis
We created more chances in this game than we have all season and I cant believe we lost this game. On another day this could have been a 6-2 win, but our luck has deserted us just when we needed it most
Can’t fault the lads efforts at all and just hope they get their rewards sooner rather than later.
MOM: Liam Talukder
Busy all over the pitch and has a great football brain. Its great to have him back
